THAT'S HOW TO LOOK GRÊND FOR THE HOLIDAYS!

Welcome, and thank you very much for taking the time to read my writing. Everyone's time is limited, and even more so this time of year.

Most people are already busy decorating homes, organizing and planning get-togethers, festive meals and table decorations, but here's a reminder that you should also treat yourself.

So, today I'd like to share some ideas on how you can confidently add sparkling silver or lustrous gold 'fairy dust' to your festive season.

It's time to look cool and glamorous! Here are 5 of 10 suggestions for a youthful and festive look, with product suggestions:

Remember: carpet is flat. (carpets are flat) What you wear or apply that can be described as 'carpet' has a 'flat' appearance.

The answer? Use a touch of shine. I'm not talking about mermaid makeup with the sheen of fish scales. Look out for the following beautiful words on packaging: sheen, glow, radiance, luminosity, satin, sheer, gloss, etc.

THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES

Why do we sometimes look and feel so dull, pale, and without luster?

Mature skin is more likely to show signs of dehydration, loss of collagen and dullness. In addition, your skin loses color over the years and gets marks, blemishes and lines.

Make-up does wonders for older skin, because just as our hair loses color over time and turns gray, our face also loses its warm blush, lips and eyes become paler, and eyebrows don't just lose color, they often lose completely 😅 .

1. CHOOSE PRODUCTS WITH SKINCARE BENEFITS:

Be selective with product selection and look out for make-up that also contains active skincare ingredients, e.g. Hyaloronic acid, vitamins, C, E, jojoba oil, etc.

Bionike Defense Hydractive Urban Protect Spf30 Moisturise Cream

2. CHOOSE MAKEUP WITH A WARM GLOW INSTEAD OF COOL.

It not only looks softer, but is a substitute for the youthful blush that we lose over time.

3. SET A 'PRIMER' FIRST:

A 'Primer' is number 1 for mature skin. It is used under your foundation so that your make-up applies more easily, stays on better and longer and gives your skin an even color appearance

It can be described as a pre-primer. There are many 'primers' on the market, but look for one that also contributes to skin care, e.g. Palladio I'm Glowing Illuminating Primer

4. FOUNDATION WITH SKINCARE:

A foundation mixed with skin care products as a good base to keep your skin looking soft and moisturized all day. This one can also be your starting point in your search for a foundation with additional benefits: L'Oreal Age Perfect Serum Foundation contains vitamin B3 and a moisturizing serum, as well as spf 50.

5. EYELIDS

Our eyelids and the skin under our eyes tend to darken and/or become uneven in color - that's apart from the wrinkles 😅.

To mimic your youthful skin and play off your eyeshadow color nicely, you need to prep and neutralize those areas with concealer before applying eyeshadow.

Picks for neutral, warm but light eyeshadow shades:

• a soft, warm brown,

• peach pink or rose gold instead of rose pink

• champagne or gold instead of cool beige

• taupe, which is a warm grey

Satin finishes look chic, while cream formulas give a soft sheen.

Step beyond challenging clear, dark or shimmer eyeshadow. More expensive beauty houses' eyeshadows are definitely more suitable for mature skin: from the products they are made from, the amount of pigment, the color choices and the degree of shine, they offer a mature finish that is easier to apply and looks beautiful for longer.

I'll share the rest of the ideas tomorrow.

Cheers ✨💫🌟🥂
